Land Survey Plat (LSP)

This is a true survey but its main function is to determine the exact legal limits of the property and set any missing property corners. No improvements (house, driveway, garage, etc...) are shown on this survey. As this deals only with the property (boundary) lines, this type of survey is good for settling property line disputes and knowing exactly where you can install your fence. This survey is filed with the county and becomes public record.
